th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (41-4) defeated LSU Alexandria 17-0 tonight.
Zac Person (Eunice) (6-0) started on the mound and went six innings, allowing three hits and no runs with one walk and 10 strikeouts. Justin Desselle (Crowley) pitched the seventh inning, allowing no hits and no runs with one walk and two strikeouts.
The offense totaled 22 hits, led by Sam Carriere (Destrehan) who went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBI’s. Three Bengals had three hits each in Dalton Herrington (Minden), Zac Hawkins (Northlake Christian), and Buddy McCoy (Haughton). Herrington went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and four RBI’s. Hawkins went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, and three RBI’s, and McCoy went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored, and two RBI’s.
The same two teams will play again tomorrow, Wednesday April 25
th at 6:00 PM at LSU Alexandria.
