 Wednesday April 25th, Alexandria, LA – The #2 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (42-4) won tonight’s game over LSU Alexandria by a 7-2 score. 
 
Kirk Savoy (Holy Savior Menard) (4-1) picked up the win going 6 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and two runs; one earned, with two walks and five strikeouts.  Tanner Olinde (Catholic Pointe Coupee) relieved Savoy and went one inning, allowing no hits and no runs with no walks and one strikeout.  Chad Miller (Sulphur) followed Olinde with 2/3 of an inning allowing no hits with one strikeout.  Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) pitched the ninth inning, allowing one hit.
 
Landon Thibodeaux (Central) and Garrett Deschamp (Parkview Baptist) led the offense with three hits each.  Thibodeaux went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three stolen bases.  Deschamp was 3-for-5 with a double, one run scored, and one RBI.  Drew Forbes (Denham Springs) and Buddy McCoy (Haughton) added two hits apiece.  Forbes tallied three RBI’s and added two stolen bases. 
 
The next scheduled game(s) for the Bengals will be a doubleheader at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium in New Orleans, LA against Delgado Community College.  Game one is set to begin at 3:00 PM.
