Bengals Take Two From Dolphins

th, New Orleans, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (44-4) won both games of a doubleheader today.
The Bengals won game one by a score of 5-1.
Brady Wilson (Parkview Baptist) (10-1) started on the mound and went seven innings, allowing six hits and one run with three walks and eight strikeouts. Will Bacon (Parkview Baptist) relieved Wilson and threw the final two innings, allowing one hit.
At the plate, LSU Eunice was led by Landon Thibodeaux (Central) who went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Stuart Turner (Eunice) added two hits going 2-for-4 with two RBI’s.
The Bengals won game two 8-1.
Starting pitcher Cody Boutte (NISH) (5-1) pitched six innings, allowing five hits and one run; no earned runs, with one walk and five strikeouts. Boutte was relieved by Jared Dye (Mangham) who allowed one hit and one walk with one strikeout in one inning of work.
Offensively, Buddy McCoy (Haughton) went 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBI’s. Sam Carriere (Destrehan) added a double and one RBI going 1-for-3.
The two teams will finish their three-game series tomorrow, Sunday April 29
th at 1:00 PM at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
