LSU Eunice Sweeps Delgado

 Sunday April 29th, New Orleans, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (45-4) completed a three-game sweep of Delgado Community College at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium today. 
 
The Bengals won by a score of 10-5 in 11 innings. 
 
The starting pitcher for the Bengals; Brady Domangue (Vandebilt Catholic), went five innings and allowed four hits and three runs with three walks and six strikeouts.  Brandt Bourgeois (Destrehan) followed Domangue going 2 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and no runs with two walks and two strikeouts.  Jared Dye (Mangham) relieved Bourgeois and recorded two outs to finish the eighth inning.  Tanner Olinde (Catholic Pointe Coupee) (1-0) got the win throwing two innings, allowing one hit and no runs with one walk and one strikeout. 
 
Stuart Turner (Eunice) led the Bengal offense going 2-for-5 with a double, one run scored and four RBI’s including his fifth homerun of the year.  Sam Carriere (Destrehan) added three hits and two doubles going 3-for-4 with a run scored and one RBI.  Zac Hawkins (Northlake Christian) added three RBI’s on one double. 
 
The next game for the Bengals is scheduled for Friday May 4th at 6:00 PM at Bengal Stadium against Galveston College.
