The Lady Bengals close out the regular season with a split to Alvin CC

The Lady Bengals (45-9) split Saturday's doubleheader with Alvin CC, winning game one 8-0 and dropping game two 0-4.


In game one of Saturdays doubleheader the Lady Bengals used a six run third inning to propel them to a 8-0 win against the Lady Dolphins. The Lady Bengals racked up 11 hits as a team, led by Brooke Ort going 2-3 with one run and Jaci Trahan going 2-3 with one run.
Tina Schulz pitched the five innings of play for the Bengals, surrendering only five hits and collecting four strike outs. Behind Schulz the Lady Bengals defense was strong, giving up no errors.

A four run first inning was all Alvin needed to take game two of the double header from the Lady Bengals. Five hits scattered across seven innings was all the Lady Bengals could produce, Lauren Slusher was responsible for three of the Lady Bengals hits.
Kaylee Guidry suffered the loss for the Lady Bengals, giving up five hits, walking one batter, but collecting 10 strike outs.

Next week the Lady Bengals are traveling to Clinton, MS for the Region 23 tournament. The Lady Bengals are scheduled to play at 4:00 PM on Thursday.
