Bengals Win Over Eagles 10-2

th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (34-3) topped Meridian Community College by a 10-2 score in game two of their three game series.
Starting pitcher Brady Wilson (Parkview Baptist) (8-0) went seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs with three walks and four strikeouts. Cody Rider (Sam Houston) relieved Wilson for the eighth, and Tyler Venable (Rayne) pitched the ninth. The two relievers combined to allow no runs and one hit.
At the plate, Stuart Turner (Eunice) reached base in all five plate appearances going 3-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored, and one RBI. Dalton Herrington went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI’s, and Casey Rodrigue (Brother Martin) went 2-for-4 while also scoring once and driving in two.
The two teams will complete their series tomorrow Saturday April 7
th with a 1:00 PM start time at Bengal Stadium.
