Lady Bengals sweep #5 ranked Jones County JC in Fridays doubleheader
Lady Bengals (35-5) defeat # 5 ranked Jones County Junior College, 4-2 and 8-1
In game on one of Fridays doubleheader, the Lady Bengals jumped out to a three run lead in the first inning. The Lady Bengals used that lead to jump them to a 4- 2 victory. Offensively and defensively Tina Schulz led the Lady Bengals, offensively going 2-2 with with one run and one walk; defensively, in the circle, pitching all seven innings, giving up six hits, two runs, one walk, and collecting three stike outs.
Kaylee Guidry led the Lady Bengals defense, in the circle, in game two of the double header, she held the Lady Bobcats to one run, five hits, one walk, and racked up four strike outs. Behind Guidry, the Lady Bengals defense surrendered only one error.
Offensively the Lady Bengals collected 13 hits as a tea;, led by Tina Schulz who went 2-4 with one run, two RBIs, and one home run, and by Emily Trahan, going
2-3, with one run, and two RBIs.
The Lady Bengals host BRCC next Tuesday for a doubleheader, game time set for 2 pm.
