LSU Eunice Sweeps Meridian

 Saturday April 7th, Eunice, LA – The #1 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (35-3) completed a three game sweep of Meridian Community College by winning this afternoon’s game 3-1.
 
Cody Boutte (NISH) went seven innings, allowing five hits and one unearned run with no walks and four strikeouts in the start.  Boutte was relieved by Brady Domangue (Vandebilt Catholic), who threw one inning and recorded four strikeouts while allowing no hits, no walks, and no runs.  Domangue (6-0) got the win, while Patrick Michon (Porter, TX), threw a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts to record his eleventh save of the year. 
 
The Bengals were led offensively by Dalton Herrington (Minden) and Landon Thibodeaux (Central) who each went 3-for-4.  Herrington had one run scored, one stolen base, and two doubles, and Thibodeaux had three singles and two RBI’s.  Drew Forbes added two hits; one being a double, and tallied the other RBI. 
 
With the series completed against Meridian, the Bengals next scheduled game is Friday April 13th at 6:00 PM at Bengal Stadium.  LSU Eunice will be hosting Tyler Junior College in a three-game series.
