Thursday May 10th, Baton Rouge, LA - The NJCAA #1 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (49-4) defeated Southern University 9-6 tonight.
Brady Wilson (Parkview Baptist) (12-1) started on the mound and pitched seven innings, allowing six hits and one run with no walks and three strikeouts to earn the win. Will Bacon (Parkview Baptist), Tanner Olinde (Catholic Pointe Coupee), and Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) all pitched in relief of Wilson over the final two innings.
Stuart Turner (Eunice) and Garrett Deschamp (Parkview Baptist) both went 2-for-4 to lead the offense. Turner had a double, two runs scored, and two RBI's. Deschamp also had a double with two RBI's.
The two teams meet again Friday May 11th at 6:00 PM in Baton Rouge at Southern.
