Lady Bengals return home for first conference home game on Saturday afternoon

The LSU Eunice Lady Bengals will return home for the first time in a month and a half when they host Southern-Shreveport on Saturday afternoon in Miss-Lou Conference action with a 2 p.m. tipoff.

The Lady Bengals (6-12 overall, 2-1 Miss-Lou Conference) are coming off an outstanding defensive performance on the road Wednesday night against Baton Rouge, holding them to just 18 percent shooting in the game.

Three players are averaging double-digit scoring numbers for LSU Eunice, led by Lida Politopoulou’s 16.6 points/game. Meghan Cross is averaging 13.2 points/game and Taylor Hurd averages 12.5 points/game to also help pace the Lady Bengals.

Southern-Shreveport comes into the game averaging 61.1 points per game behind three players who each average double-digit point totals each game. Coming off a win against Delgado on Wednesday, Southern-Shreveport is 9-7 on the season and 2-1 in Miss-Lou Conference play.

LSU Eunice, Southern-Shreveport and Baton Rouge each sit tied atop the Miss-Lou Conference standings heading into today’s conference schedule.
