The LSU Eunice women's basketball team came away with a 91-84 victory over Bossier Parish Community College on Saturday night, continuing its' best start to a season in school history.

After a back and forth first half that saw the Lady Bengals (6-0) take a nine point lead into the break, the visitors grabbed momentum in the second half before withstanding a final push from Bossier Parish (2-2) in the closing minutes of the action.

"(Bossier Parish) kept hanging around, we couldn't close them out. Our team did a good job of holding them off. Down the stretch we were able to execute our offense," head coach Yolanda Moore said.

Reagan Maricle led the Lady Bengals with 17 points, while sister Taylor Maricle and Meghan Cross each notched 14 points in the win. Baylie Lee added 12 points, while Taylor Hurd, Brooke Richard and Kelsey Thibodeaux each finished with eight points.
