	The LSU Eunice women’s basketball team hit the road on Saturday afternoon, falling to Meridian Community College 84-62 in Miss-Lou Conference action.
	The Lady Bengals (7-17) shot just 35 percent (27-for-77) from the floor and hit just seven three-point baskets (23%, 7-for-30) in the loss.
	Meridian (17-9) finished the afternoon shooting 40 percent (31-for-77) from the floor and 30 percent (8-for-26) from three-point range.
	LSU Eunice out-rebounded the hosts 53-47, but committed 27 turnovers and saw Meridian come away with 15 steals in the road loss.
	Lida Politopoulou led the Lady Bengals with 14 points, adding eight rebounds and eight assists, also team highs.
	Feleshia Walters finished with 12 points off the bench, grabbing seven rebounds and blocking four shots as well. Meghan Cross and Chesley Dubroc each finished with eight points, as Dubroc added eight rebounds to her stat line.
	Taylor Hurd and Brooke Richard each notched seven points, with Hurd grabbing seven rebounds and Richard collecting five rebounds and passing out five assists, while Jordan Sweatt added six points to round out the Lady Bengal scoring while also grabbing four rebounds.
	Victoria Fontenot also added three assists off the bench for LSU Eunice.
	Meridian had three players finish with double-digit point totals, led by Gelese Lampton’s game-high 26 points. Malaka Johnson notched 19 points while Reynada Johnson added 10 points.
	The Lady Bengals and Meridian will square off again in two days, but this time switch locations, when they tip off on Monday night inside the HPRE Center in a game that was postponed earlier this season.
	LSU Eunice then travels to Baton Rouge Community College on Wednesday night before hosting Southern-Shreveport in the season finale on Saturday afternoon.
