The LSU Eunice baseball team’s scheduled NJCAA Division II World Series game Wednesday night has been postponed due severe weather in the Enid, Ok. area, as well as most of the Midwestern United States, that has halted action for the rest of Wednesday.

The Bengals will now play their contest against Heartland Community College tomorrow at 12 p.m. noon following the conclusion of a game between North Iowa Area Community College and Murray State Community College that was postponed in the fifth inning.

With the forecast calling for 70 mph wind and hail in the Enid area, the NJCAA choose to pause play for the rest of the night, while North Iowa Area and Murray State will resume their game at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning prior to the Bengals’ game scheduled for noon.

The altered schedule now means that LSU Eunice will play two games tomorrow. The outcome of their noon game will determine the game time of the Bengals second game later Thursday.

With a win over Heartland, the Bengals would advance to play at 7 p.m. against Madison College, while a loss against Heartland will force LSU Eunice to turn right back around and play a 3:30 p.m. elimination contest against the winner of the North Iowa Area-Murray State game.

Thursday’s action can be seen for free on NJCAA TV and heard over the airwaves on KVPI 1050 AM.

Information will also continue to be available via the LSU Eunice Athletics Twitter page, including exact game starting times, in-game score updates and more.
