Lady Bengals improve to 3-0 in conference play; 22-1 overall after win in New Orleans
The LSU Eunice women's basketball team wrapped up the first wave of Miss-Lou Conference play Wednesday night, traveling to New Orleans to come away with a 65-48 road victory over Delgado Community College.
The Lady Bengals, ranked No. 22 in the latest NJCAA Top 25 poll, improve to 22-1 on the year and 3-0 in Miss-Lou Conference play.

"Our starters went out and showed great leadership. I thought we rectified our rebounding issues by blocking out. I think we made more of a concerted effort there, and they were able to score some easy baskets and we were able to get everyone in today," head coach Yolanda Moore said.
LSU Eunice has now gone a third of the way through the conference schedule, playing each team two more times on the schedule.
"(Our team) understands these games mean a little bit more to everybody and that you can't look at records because this is conference play and everyone is going to bring their best effort," Moore added.
