The LSU Eunice softball team picked up a doubleheader sweep over visiting Faulkner State Community College for the second consecutive afternoon on Wednesday, taking game one by a 6-1 score before a 9-1 victory in game two.

Three players led the Lady Bengals (39-1) at the plate over the doubleheader, as Taylor Boulet, Brooke Clark and Emily Nolan combined to go 11-for-18 at the plate with 12 RBIs, four doubles and a home run between them.

"I'm proud of all the players. You play four games in two days and only give up one run, that's very good. The hitters came alive today and hit some line drives and got some clutch hits. These hitters are good. They are talented and have great timing," head coach Andy Lee said.

In the opener, LSU Eunice posted two runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back, adding two more runs in the fourth before a single run in the fifth and a final run in the sixth after Faulkner State scored their only run in the top of the sixth.

Boulet and Dani Cruickshank each finished 2-for-3 in the game, as both collected doubles and an RBI, while Cruickshank also hit a solo home run in the sixth. Clark (RBI), Codi Covington and Ashley Subervielle (2 RBIs) all finished with one hit, while Nolan (0-3) added an RBI as well.

Destin Vicknair earned her 17th win of the season, tossing five innings and allowing three hits and one unearned run while walking two batters and recording four strikeouts.

Elizabeth Delafield tossed the final two innings, allowing just one hit while striking out three batters.

The Lady Bengals used an RBI double from Boulet and Nolan's RBI groundout to take the early lead before Subervielle added to the advantage with her two-run single in the fourth inning and Clark added an RBI single of her own in the fifth.

Faulkner State used a leadoff walk and an LSU Eunice error to plate their only run in the top of the sixth before Cruickshank delivered her solo home run to center field in the bottom of the sixth to wrap up the scoring.

The second game saw the bats continue to produce, as Boulet was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a double and three RBIs. Clark and Nolan each added two hits, as Clark notched a double and two RBIs and Nolan tallied four RBIs via a double and a home run.

Camille Quebodeaux finished with a pair of hits, including a double, while Vicknair and Cruickshank each added a hit as well.

Raven Cole picked up victory No. 17 of her own in the win, allowing just one hit and one unearned run in her three innings of work, walking three and striking out four batters.

Kayla Davidson tossed the final two innings, recording two strikeouts and allowing four hits.

Faulkner State jumped on top in the top of the first inning with an RBI single before the Lady Bengals responded with back-to-back RBI doubles from Clark and Nolan to take the lead in the bottom of the frame. Boulet pushed the lead higher in the second inning with her RBI single before Nolan added on to the score with her three-run homer to left-center field later in the frame.

Boulet notched an RBI double down the left field line in the fourth and scored moments later on Clark's RBI single before Boulet finished the afternoon's scoring with her RBI single in the fifth inning.

The Lady Bengals wrap up their midweek schedule Thursday night with a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. on the road against Baton Rouge Community College.
