In the opener, the Bengals (32-9) plated five runs in the top of the eighth inning to take the lead, only to see Delgado (32-9) score eight runs of their own in the bottom of the eighth to retake the lead in what was the final score.
The second game saw Delgado score three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break open a tie game before the hosts plated six runs in the fifth in the win.
Brennan Bozeman, Stefan Trosclair (double) and Ray Veit each finished with two hits in the opening game, as Trosclair and Sam Walley (1-1, double) each collected two RBIs, while Veit and Derek Herrington (1-3) each added an RBI as well.
Bengal reliever Jevin Huval was saddled with the loss after allowing six runs as part of Delgado's eight-run eighth inning. Starter Nick Hartman did not factor in the decision after going 3 1/3 innings, allowing five hits, four runs (3 earned) and walking four batters.
LSU Eunice took the lead in the top of the second inning on Veit's RBI single before Trosclair connected on a two-run homer in the third inning to push the lead to three. Delgado took the lead with a four-run fourth inning, using four hits and two Bengal errors to take a one-run advantage into the eighth inning.
The Bengals' five-run top of the eighth inning was highlighted by Walley's two-run double and an RBI single by Herrington, while two additional runs scored on a pair of Delgado errors.
Delgado would go on to post eight runs in the bottom of the inning on seven hits and a Bengal error, all coming with two outs in the frame.
The second game saw the Bengals' top three hitters in the lineup account for six of their 10 total hits, as Bozeman, Trosclair and Madison Nickens all collected two hits, as Nickens collected two RBIs and Trosclair drove in a run as well. David LaFleur (0-2) also added an RBI.
Starter Chad Reeves (10-1) lost for the first time this season, allowing eight hits and seven runs (4 earned) in 4 2/3 innings of work, while adding six strikeouts.
After Delgado scored the opening run in the second inning, LSU Eunice tied the game in the third on Nickens' two-out double before he later scored on Trosclair's infield single.
The hosts regained the lead in the fourth, plating three runs on four hits, before the Bengals used three singles, including an RBI base hit by Nickens, to cut into the advantage in the top of the fifth inning.
Delgado would go on to plate six runs on four hits and a Bengal error in the bottom of the sixth, while single runs in the top of the sixth (LaFleur RBI sacrifice fly) and seventh (Nickens RBI groundout) were not enough to make the comeback.
