Lady Commodores cruise past LSU Eunice
PANAMA CITY, Florida - Fifth-ranked Gulf Coast State College exploded for a 59-28 halftime lead as the Lady Commodores cruised to a 105-54 win over LSU Eunice Sunday at the Billy Harrison Field House.
GCSC opened the game with a 291-0 first quarter run and then added a 30-18 second quarter to push ahead by 31 points at the break.
The Lady Commodores continued their barrage with a 28-15 third quarter.
The Lady Bengals battled in the fourth quarter as GCSC outscored LSUE 18-11 in the final period.
Katie Lemieux led the Lady Bengals with 17 points, while Becca Brooks hit three treys for nine points.
Linda Rogers and Amber Richard chipped in seven points.
Kristina King led the Lady Commodores with 25 points, while Audrey Goudreau contributed 12 points.
LSU Eunice will entertain Angelina College at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The Lady Bengals lost 85-75 to the Lady Roadrunners earlier this season in Lufkin, Texas.
