The second-ranked Bengals improved to 33-8 on the season as LSU Eunice rolled to a 12-3 win over Centenary on Monday.

The Gents took a 1-0 lead  when Ian Graham singled and scored on a double by Michael Schimpf.  The Bengals responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame, begun when Cade Stone walked, stole two bases and scored on a ground-out by Nick Coomes.  Steven Sensley walked, stole second and scored on a single to right by Madison Nickens.

Centenary retook the lead with two runs in the top of the third but did not score again.  Jeff Bicknell and Khalen Simpson both singled to open the inning.  Bicknell scored on a ground out, while Simpson scored on Chris Zapata's double to centerfield.

The Bengals scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to retake the lead for good.  David LaFleur was hit by a pitch, Jesse Lee bunted and Brennan Bozeman walked as the Bengals began their comeback.  LaFleur scored on a wild throw, while Sensley doubled in Lee and Bozeman.

LSU Eunice added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to push ahead, 8-3.  Stone tripled and Sensley followed with a home run over the centerfield wall.  Nickens was hit by a pitch, stole second and third before scoring on a sacrifice to center by Jordan Romero.

The Bengals scored four more insurance runs in the bottom of the seventh to seal the win.  LaFleur walked and scored on a single by Bozeman.  Lee walked and scored when Sensley was hit by a bases-loaded pitch.  Stone walked and then Nickens singled in Bozeman and Stoneto give the Bengals  a 12-3 advantage.

Six different Bengal pitchers saw action including starter Erin Baldwin who went four innings as he struck out four and allowed three earned runs on seven hits.  Evan Kissinger  (1-0) earned the win as he struck out two and allowed just one hit in the sixth inning.

Sensley went 2-for-3 with a walk, five RBI and two runs scored.  Nickens went 2-for-3 with a walk, three RBI and a run scored.  Bozeman went 2-for-5 with a walk, a RBI and two runs scored.  Stone went 1-for-4 with  two walks and three runs scored.

LSU Eunice travels to LSU Alexandria for a 6 p.m. game on Wednesday.  The Bengals entertain East Central Community Collegeat 4 p.m. on Friday before facing Coastal Bend College for a  1 p.m.  Saturday doubleheader.
