Lady Bengals fall at Faulkner

BAY MINETTE, AL. -  The Lady Bengals closed their non-conference schedule with a 64-39 loss at Faulkner State Community College Friday.
LSUE (4-15) opens Miss-Lou Conference competition Jan. 27 at home against Baton Rouge Community College.
Faulkner State (9-2) opened with a 17-4 run as the Sun Chiefs controlled the game from the beginning.
Becca Brooks and Katie Lemieux scored the only two buckets in the first quarter for the Lady Bengals.
LSU Eunice regrouped for 12 points in the second period to close the halftime deficit to 35-16, led by treys from both Brooks and Amber Richard, while Madelyn LeJeune, Macy Hoffpauir and Lemieux all chipped in two points.
Faulkner forged ahead with a 12-10 battle in the third frame as Morgan Eddleman pushed in four points for LSUE.
The Sun Chiefs sealed the win with a 17-13 clash in the fourth quarter led by A'Jaspin Whitfield and Jasmine Stackhouse, who both finished with 14 points.
Lemieux pushed in six points to finish with 12 to lead LSUE, while Brooks nailed a trey to chip in eight points.
Eddleman and LeJeune both finished with six points, while Hoffpauir added four points.
