Bengals Win Slugfest With St. Charles

The Bengals trailed early 5-0 to St. Charles, but top-ranked LSU Eunice then rebounded for a 21-13 slugfest Saturday in the second game of a three-game series.
The Cougars began the offensive explosion with five runs on four hits in the top of the first, but the Bengals closed the gap to 5-3 in the bottom of the frame.
Zach LaFleur and Will Watson both walked and Nick Coomes singled to load the bases.
LaFleur scored on Michael Claverie's sacrifice, while Watson scored on a sacrifice by Turner Francis.
The Bengals' third run of the inning occurred when Coomes advanced on a wild pitch.
