Bengals Cruise for 11-1 Win Over LBW

LSU Eunice used balanced scoring as the Bengals improved to 12-0 on the baseball season with an 11-1 win Friday over Lurleen B. Wallace Community College.
The Bengals will face LBW (3-4) in a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
LSU Eunice opened with a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Zach LaFleur walked, stole second, advanced to third on a throwing error and then crossed home plate on Will Watson's ground out.
The Bengals added two more runs in the bottom of the second, begun when Mark Fontenot was hit by a pitch, advanced with a steal and scored on a Turner Francis double to right field.
Francis scored when Hunter Feduccia singled to right to give the Bengals a 3-0 advantage.
After a scoreless third frame, LSU Eunice exploded for three runs in the bottom of the fourth to push ahead 6-0.
LaFleur got the rally started when he walked, advanced on a balk, stole third and scored on a wild pitch.
Watson walked and scored on another wild pitch, while Michael Claverie was hit by a pitch and scored on a sacrifice by Nick Coomes.
The Bengals continued its offensive barrage with two more runs in the sixth inning, sparked as Veillon reached on a fielder's choice and scored on Coomes' single to left field.
Michael Claverie (1-for-4) singled and later scored when Francis drew a bases-loaded walk to push the Bengals ahead, 8-0.
LBW avoided the shutout with a run in the top of the seventh when Tyler Johnson doubled and scored on Hunter Baggett's hit up the middle.
The Bengals then completed the mercy-rule win with three more runs in the bottom of the inning, aided by singles from Janson Bourque  (1-for-3) and LaFleur who both scored on Veillon's triple to right field.
Veillon later scored on a passed ball to end the game as the Bengals increased its lead to 10 runs.
Bengal starter Erin Baldwin went 6.2 innings and improved his record to 4-0 with four strikeouts, three walks and one earned run on three hits.
Veillon finished 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and three runs scored, while LaFleur went 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored.
Watson went 1-for-3 with two walks, a RBI and a run scored. Coomes went 1-for-3 with two RBI, while Turner went 1-for-2 with two walks, two RBI and a run scored.
