Bengals Explode in Seventh To Seal Win

The Bengals exploded for six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift LSU Eunice to an 8-3 win over Brookhaven College on Saturday.
The Bengals (5-0) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Zach LaFLeur advanced on a dropped third strike and later scored on a wild pitch.
Brookhaven tied the game in the top of the fourth inning Juan Rivera singled to center, advanced on a passed ball and scored on a ground out to second base.
LSU Eunice retook the lead with a run in the bottom of the fifth frame, begun when Fontenot singled and then advanced on two passed balls.
Fontenot scored on Michael Claverie's sacrifice squeeze bunt to give the Bengals a 2-1 advantage.
LSU Eunice's seventh inning scoring barrage began when LaFleur walked and Nick Coomes was hit by a pitch.
Claverie's single to left drove in LaFleur and Coomes, followed by a single by Orynn Veillon to plate Claverie.
The Bengals kept the inning going when Hunter Feduccia singled and Veillon later scored on a passed ball to give LSUE a 6-1 lead.
Trenon Trosclair tripled to drive in Feduccia and the Bengal leftfielder stole home to complete the Bengal rally.
