LSU Eunice Baseball Earns Record 20th Win

The top-ranked Bengals set a new program record with their 20th straight win Saturday as LSU Eunice won a 15-10 slugfest over Eastern Oklahoma State College.
The Mountaineers (10-11) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning as Jace Pitchford walked and scored when Tristan Clark singled up the middle.
Eastern Oklahoma pushed ahead 2-0 in the top of the third inning when Easton Elliott walked and scored on Clark's double to centerfield.
The Bengals (20-0) exploded for four runs in the bottom of the third, begun when Janson Bourque was hit by a pitch, advanced to third on a wild throw and crossed home plate on Zach LaFleur's single.
LaFleur stole second and later scored on a balk to tie the game.
Orynn Veillon walked and scored when Nick Coomes as the Bengals' third baseman touched home plate as Turner Francis grounded out to second to push LSU Eunice ahead, 4-2.
