After completing a rain delay win earlier in the day, the Bengals were led by pitcher Zach Hester who struck out 10 batters and allowed just one hit over six innings as LSUE cruised to a 14-0 shutout over Southwest Tennessee.

John Hays pitched the seventh inning, fanning two and walked one but didn't allow a run.

After a scoreless first inning, the Bengals grabbed a 1-0 lead when Claverie walked. advanced on to third on two  wild pitched before scoring on another wild pitch.

LSUE exploded for five runs in the bottom of the third inning, begun when  Forte and Claverie both singled and  Feduccia walked to load the bases.

McHugh walked to plate Forte before Horton grounded out to score Claverie.

 Feduccia scored on a wild pitch and McHugh scored when Westbrook reached base on an third-strike error.

Westbrook stole second, advanced to third on an error and scored when Myers singled.

After a scoreless fourth inning, the Bengals added threee runs in the bottom of the fifth frame, sparked when Westbrook singled followed Forte's base on balls. 

Comeaux hit by pitch and then Claverie cleared the bases with a 3 RBI double to push the Bengals ahead, 9-0.

 LSU Eunice put the game away with five runs in the bottom of the sixth.
 
Horton doubled and scored on a triple by Westbrook.
 
 Bourgeois singled in Westbrook, Comeaux reached on a fielder's choice and then Claverie tripled in two more runs.
 
Claverie finished 3-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored.
 
Westbrook went 2-for-3 with a RBI and  three runs scored.
 
Forte went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while Comeaux went 1-for-4 with two runs scored.
