EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice fired a blistering 56 percent from the field to secure an 89-74 win over Jarvis Christian JV inside the HPRE Center on Saturday night.  The Bengals (5-5) had five players score in double figures.
 
Trailing midway through the first half, the LSUE offense came alive with a 14-3 run.  Jacques Clark (Alexandria, LA, Tioga HS) and Michael Smith Jr. (Lafayette, LA, Comeaux HS) hit critical three pointers to help get the Bengals within striking range at the half, 41-38.
 
LSU Eunice roared out the locker rooms, shooting 18-for-27 (66.7%) from the field after intermission.  Clark paced LSUE with 22 points on the evening, including 14-for-22 from the free throw line.  Helping matters was the Bengals up-tempo offense scoring 23 transition points, compared to two for Jarvis Christian.
 
Zakari Hart (Dallas, TX, Pinkston HS) poured in his second consecutive double-double, putting in ten points and ten rebounds.  Kaedrick Williams (Ruston, LA, Lincoln Prep HS) also grabbed ten rebounds for the Bengals.
 
Caleb Starks (Lafayette, LA, Lafayette Christian HS) (15 points), Brennan Maddox (Fairview, LA, Fairview HS) (13 points) and Michael Smith (12 points) also enjoyed solid nights on the offensive end.
 
LSU Eunice continues a five game home stand this Thursday when Louisiana Christian Post Grad comes to town for a 6:00PM tip-off.
