EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice cruised through a pair of exam week games as the Bengals took down both Louisiana Christian Post Grad and CMP Prep Academy. The Bengals (7-5) extended their current win streak to five games with the pair of wins over the weekend.
The Bengals hit the 100-point mark in both contest, defeating Louisiana Christian Post Grad 103-69 on Thursday, December 6 and CMP Prep Academy 105-76 on Saturday, December 8.
LSUE will close out its current five-game homestand on Monday, December 17 with Lee College. The doubleheader with the women's team will begin at 5:00PM with the Lee College contest set for a 7:30PM start time.
December 6 vs. Louisiana Christian Post Grad
LSU Eunice saw 11 players score as the Bengals scored a wire-to-wire victory over Louisiana Christian Post Grad, 103-69, at the HPRE Center.
A stingy Bengals defense limited the Disciples to just 33 percent (18-for-54) from the floor.
LSUE dominated inside with 46 points in the paint led by
Kaedrick Williams' (Ruston, LA, Lincoln Prep HS) team-high 17 points.
Brennan Maddox (Fairview, LA, Fairview HS) (16 points) and
Caleb Starks (Lafayette, LA, Lafayette Christian HS) (13 points) were the two other Bengals to record a double-digit point effort.
The Bengals held a slim seven-point edge at the halftime break before roaring out after intermission, outscoring the Disciples 52-32.
December 8 vs. CMP Prep Academy
LSU Eunice used six players in double figured to blow past CMP Prep Academy, 105-76. The 105 points are the most scored in a single game this season for the Bengals.
Caleb Starks led all scorers with 18 points on the night, 16 coming in the first half. Starks' first half effort helped LSUE take a 51-38 lead into intermission.
Zakari Hart (Dallas, TX, Pinkston HS) helped shoulder the load out of the locker rooms with all 12 of his points coming after half.
Brennan Maddox (15 points),
Jacques Clark (Alexandria, LA, Tioga HS) (13 points),
Jakobey Hitchens (Baton Rouge, LA, Jehovah-Jireh HS) (13 points) and Kae Williams (13 points) all put up double digit point efforts for the Bengals.
