EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice men's basketball continued its strong start to the campaign with another perfect weekend in preseason play at the Buzini.com Jamboree.  The one-day event was held on the campus of LSU Alexandria on Saturday, October 12.
 
The Bengals opened up play with an 80-57 victory over CMP Prep Academy, followed by a 59-40 decision against Louisiana Christian Post Grad.
 
Tyrone Hugue (Mansfield, TX, Lake Ridge HS) led LSUE in the doubleheader with a pair of double-digit scoring efforts.  The sophomore netted a team-high 17 points versus CMP and 11 in the capper.
 
LSUE had three double-digit point scorers against CMP Prep with Isaiah Payne (Ville Platte, LA, Pine Prairie HS) (14 points) and Jonathan Cisse (Grand Coteau, LA, St. Thomas More HS) (13 points) joining Hugue.
 
Cisse was the high man against LCP, pouring in 12 points.
 
The preseason continues on Friday, October 18 as LSU Eunice heads to Bossier Parish CC for a single game at 4:00PM.  The regular season is set to begin on Friday, November 1 as LSUE hosts CMP Prep Academy at 7:00PM inside the HPRE Center.
