Box Score EUNICE, La.  – Seventeen different players scored as LSU Eunice cruised past CMP Prep Academy 117-74 to open up the new season on Friday at the HPRE Center.  The Bengals (1-0) had all but three players on the roster score at least a point in the victory.

Mamady Djikine (Paris, France, Lee Academy (ME)) led the LSUE charge with a team-high 17 points, ten of which came in the first half.  The sophomore and
Jonathan Cisse (Grand Coteau, LA, St. Thomas More HS) paced the first half attack as Cisse poured in 14 of his 16 points before half to help LSUE take a 57-20 edge at intermission.

Isaiah Payne (Ville Platte, LA, Pine Prairie HS) (12 points) and
Jevon Berry (Arnaudville, LA, Cecilia HS) (11 points) were the two other Bengals to record a double-digit point effort.

LSUE employed virtually the entire team in the second half as no player scored more than seven points.  That team approach helped LSUE score the most points in a single-game in the program's two-year history.  The previous record of 114 came in a win last season against Louisiana Post Grad.

LSUE's season opening four game home stand continues tomorrow Saturday, November 2 against Southwestern Christian College.  The action from the HPRE center begins at 2:00PM.
