Box Score PORT ARTHUR, Tex. –
Jevon Berry (Arnaudville, LA, Cecilia HS) scored a game-high 22 points to propel LSU Eunice to an 85-71 victory over Lamar State Collge-Port Arthur on Tuesday inside the Carl Parker Center. It was LSUE's (5-0) first road game of the regular season.
Berry poured in 16 points after half to help LSUE extend a 37-32 halftime lead into the Bengals' fifth straight victory of 14 points or more.
LSUE continued its balanced production among starters with all five scoring double digit points.
Jonathan Cisse (Grand Coteau, LA, St. Thomas More HS) shouldered the load in the first half, scoring ten of his 19 before intermission.
Tyrone Hugue (Mansfield, TX, Lake Ridge HS) (11 points),
Michael Smith Jr. (Lafayette, LA, Comeaux HS) (10 points) and
Mamady Djikine (Paris, France, Lee Academy (ME)) (10 points) also played a big factor offensively for the Bengals.
The Seahawks were led by 19 points from Jamyus Jones.
LSU Eunice returns home on Saturday, November 16 as the Bengals host Centenary College JV. The action from inside the HPRE Center begins at 2:00PM.
