EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice roared with an eight-run fourth inning to breeze past Tyler JC, 15-3, in seven innings on Friday at Bengal Stadium.  The Bengals (44-5) extends their current win streak to 12 games to start the final weekend home series of the season.
 
The pivotal frame began in the fourth with consecutive singles by Nick Bellina and Slate Fuller.  Javier Vaz hammered a one-out double score the pair and break a 3-3 tie.  River Town would follow with a RBI double to give LSUE the lead for good, 4-3.  The Bengals would use an error, two wild pitches, a sacrifice fly and a pair of RBI singles to grow their lead to 11-3.
 
Jarrett McDonald continued the LSUE onslaught in the fifth with a RBI single followed by two runs on errant pitches to help secure the mercy-rule.
 
The two teams traded three-run frames early with LSUE pulling the first punch in the second inning.  Nick Bellina scored the first run of the game in thrilling fashion with a triple to right center and would score on one of four TJC errors. LSUE would get two more in the frame by way of fielder's choice and another error on a River Town stolen base attempt.  The Apaches would answer right back with three of their own to setup LSUE's big inning.
 
Vaz, Fuller and Evan Keller all produced three-hit games in LSUE's 14-hit game.   Vaz would pace the Bengals with three RBIs and three runs scored.
 
Andrew Sheridan finished his LSUE career perfect at home, picking up his 13th win at Bengal Stadium.  Sheridan (W, 11-1) gave up three earned runs over six innings, scattering seven hits and a walk with two strike outs.  Austin Andrishok would throw one inning of relief.
 
LSU Eunice will close out the home portion of the 2019 season with a doubleheader against Tyler JC on Saturday, April 27.  The action from Bengal Stadium begins at 1:00PM with both games seen live on Bengals All-Access.
