Box Score BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU Eunice men's basketball used a 13-3 run to close out the first half to help spark a 93-80 victory at Baton Rouge CC on Saturday. The Bengals (16-4) were able to navigate a three-game road swing unbeaten, as well as run their current win streak to seven games.
LSU Eunice and BRCC were knotted up 35-35 until the duo of
Jevon Berry (Arnaudville, LA, Cecilia HS) and
Jonathan Cisse (Grand Coteau, LA, St. Thomas More HS) took control of the game for the Bengals for good. The pair of score the next 13 points for LSUE, beginning with Berry's three pointer from the corner with less than four minutes to go until halftime. Berry led LSUE in the first half with 10 points on his way to a 14-point evening.
After intermission, Cisse would continue his dominant start to LCCAC play. The freshman scored 17 of his game-high 26 points and would team up with
Tyrone Hugue (Mansfield, TX, Lake Ridge HS) who added 12 points in the second half.
The Bengals would see their lead swell to as large at 18 points.
LSUE would get a well-rounded night as ten different Bengals would score at least two points.
LSU Eunice returns home Wednesday for the start of a three-game homestand beginning with Southern-Shreveport. The men's game will start at 7:30PM and can be seen on Bengals All-Access.
