EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice baseball dug itself out of a four-run hole midway through its game Saturday against Paris JC to score a 14-6 win on Saturday. The Bengals (5-0) secured their 30th straight weekend series win against the same opponent, dating back to the 2017 season.
The Bengals found themselves in a 6-2 hole after Paris JC capitalized on a shaky third inning from LSUE. The Dragons plated four runs on four hits and three walks.
LSUE would not answer back until the sixth inning when the Bengals brought home six runs with two outs. The Bengals used back-to-back walks for
Jack Merrifield (Prairieville, LA, Dutchtown HS) to finally get the offense going with a RBI single. After
Hunter Tabb (Scott, LA, Acadiana HS) brought home a run off one of six PJC errors,
Jarrett McDonald (Sterlington, LA, Sterlington HS) sliced the deficit to 6-5 with a two-run double. The Bengals would take the lead for good after a wild pitch, throwing error and
Brady Hebert's (Baton Rouge, LA, Catholic-Baton Rouge HS) bunt single pushed LSUE ahead 8-6.

Following a seventh inning LeJeune sacrifice ground out,
