BAYTOWN, Texas – LSU Eunice scored an impressive road win on Tuesday, taking down Lee College 77-69 at the Lee College Sports Arena.  The Bengals (4-4) exploded for 48 points in the second half to push past the Rebels.
 
The Bengals delivered the Rebels just their second loss of the early season.  Lee College was ranked No. 23 in the first week of the NJCAA Division I rankings this season.
 
LSUE took a slim 29-27 advantage into the halftime break, led by 15 points from 
Isaiah Payne (Ville Platte, LA, Pine Prairie HS).  The sophomore would continue his stellar play after intermission, totaling a game-high 25 points on the night.
 
Payne was helped by the rest of the starting five as 
Alonzo Linton (Lynn, MA, Lynn English HS) (11 points), 
Jordan Hayes (Grand Prairie, TX, Mansfield Lake Ridge HS) (11 points) and 
Magok Manyang (Adelaide, Australia, Trinity College HS) (14 points) all added double-digit point nights.
 
LSU Eunice will get back on the road Monday, November 29 for a return trip to Mississippi Gulf Coast CC.  The Bengals fell to the Bulldogs 93-90 in Eunice on November 8.
