Last Two Men's Basketball LCCAC Games Canceled

EUNICE, La. – The final two contest in LCCAC play for LSU Eunice men's basketball have been canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within the opposing two teams.

The Bengals (12-0, 10-0 LCCAC) were scheduled to play at Southern-Shreveport this evening and host Baton Rouge CC on Saturday.  LSUE will close out the regular season as LCCAC regular season champions for a second consecutive season.

LSU Eunice will now shift its focus to the Region 23 tournament with a new expanded format due to the abbreviated season.  All 19 teams will qualify for the single-elimination tournament that begins on Tuesday, March 30.  After three "play-in" games, the top eight seeds will host first round action on Thursday, April.  LSU Eunice enters the tournament at the number four seed as the LCCAC champion.

The first round opponent and full bracket of the Region 23 tournament will be released later this week.

After another round of home-site quarterfinals, the final four of the men's and women's bracket will advance to Mississippi College for the final two rounds of tournament play on April 8-9.
