EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Women's Basketball responded to an early conference setback with authority, routing Delgado CC 72-43 on Saturday at the HPRE Center. The Bengals (8-9 overall, 1-1 LCCAC) improved to 23-1 all-time against the Dolphins on the Cajun Prairie.
LSUE used defense early, clamping down the Dolphins for just five first quarter points. The Bengals would take a 33-18 advantage into the locker rooms thanks to a balance effort, seeing 11 of the 12 rostered players scoring at least a point before intermission.
The Bengals continue to roar out of the break as
Josie Ogea (Big Lake, LA, Bell City HS) enjoyed a breakout game. The freshman recorded a career-high 15 points to lead LSUE, connecting on three of the Bengals' seven trifectas on the afternoon.
Vanessa Duhe (Lacassine, LA, Lacassine HS) was the other LSUE player to score double digits, pouring in 10 points.
LSUE hits the road for the first time in LCCAC play on Wednesday, traveling to Southern-Shreveport.
