EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Men's Basketball enjoyed another blowout victory as the Bengals' dominance continued with a 96-76 win over Southern-Shreveport on Saturday at the HPRE Center.  LSUE (16-3 overall, 5-0 LCCAC) pushed their conference win streak to 28 games, dating back to the 2019-2020 season.
 
LSUE honored seven sophomores as part of Sophomore Day festivities including the late Everette Jackson whose family was honored during halftime.
 
After SUSLA would score the first basket of the game, LSUE would control until the final horn.  The Bengals used an 11-0 run in just under three minutes to take the lead, which included a wild 10 second sequence of back-to-back thunderous slams by Puoch "PJ" Dubuol, Jr. (St. Cloud, MN, Apollo HS). 
 
Dubuol ignited the LSUE offense with several dunks on the day, recording 19 points while stuffing the stat sheet with five rebounds, four blocks, three steals and two assists.
 
The Bengals held a commanding 44-28 halftime lead as the starting lineup of Dubuol, Bryce Roberts (Bossier City, LA, Parkway HS), Kiani Saxon (Auckland, New Zealand, Liston College), Nasir DeGruy (New Orleans, LA, St. Augustine HS) and Kaden Pierre (Ama, LA, Hahnville HS) for 40 of those points.  All five would record double figure points along with 10 points from Arzika Seibou (Cotonou, Benin, Grand River Academy (OH)) in the second half.
 
Roberts would lead the Bengals' charge, scoring 23 points including 5-for-11 from three-point range.  It was Roberts' fourth game of 20 or more points this season.
 
LSUE's full court press was the decider in the game, forcing SUSLA into 25 turnovers.  The Bengals would score 29 points off those turnovers.
 
The Bengals hit the road on Wednesday to face off with Baton Rouge for a 7:30PM tip time.
