May 27, Des Moines Area Community College – L, 4-3
In an opening round heartbreaker, LSUE gave up three ninth inning runs to fall 4-3 to Des Moines Area. The Bengals led a tight game 2-1 entering the final frame.
After trailing through the first three innings, the Bengals tied the game with a Stuart Turner RBI single. Landon Thibodeaux gave LSU Eunice the lead thanks to a sixth inning solo home run. DMACC rallied in the final frame off an error, a RBI single and passed ball.
LSU Eunice tried to mount its own comeback in the bottom half of the ninth after a bases loaded walk but could not manufacture another run. Brady Wilson threw a tough-luck 7.2 innings scattering one earned run off ten hits while striking out three batters and issuing a pair of walks.
May 29, Scottsdale Community College – W, 3-2
One day after succumbing to a late game rally, LSUE had one of its own in a thrilling 3-2 win over Scottsdale to keep its season alive.
The Bengals trailed 2-1 entering the eighth inning but one swing of the bat changed everything. Stuart Turner lifted a two-out, two-run home run that stood as the difference for the top-seeded Bengals. The ball hit the top of the left field brick wall before bouncing over.
LSUE held off Scottsdale with great defensive plays by Adam Angelle and Garrett Deschamp. Cody Boutte picked up the win after going 8.2 innings allowing two runs on nine hits and four strikeouts.
Drew Forbes gave the Bengals their other run of the game in the second inning with an unbelievable stolen base at home. The score tied the game early at 1-1.

May 30, Des Moines Area Community College – W, 13-0
LSUE got its revenge on Des Moines Area in emphatic fashion with a 13-0 run rule of the Bears to eliminate DMACC. The Bengals were quick to score with back-to-back three run innings to start the game before delivering a knockout punch in the fifth with a seven spot.
Dalton Herrington (2-for-3) and Zac Hawkins (1-for-3) each drove in three runs to lead the suddenly hot Bengal bats.
Hawkins started the party with a 2-RBI single in the first followed by a two-RBI double from Herrington a frame later. The Bengals sent 11 batters to the plate in the fifth with Adam Angelle, Herrington, Hawkins, Stuart Turner, Casey Rodrigue and Sam Carriere all driving in runs in that inning.
Brady Domangue pitched a complete game, four-hit shutout with five strikeouts and four walks.

May 31, Madison College – W, 9-0
The offense continued to peak in Enid with a 9-0 run-rule win over Madison College to reach the championship round of the NJCAA World Series. The Bengals eliminated their third team in as many days.
Dalton Herrington blasted a three-run home run in the sixth inning to force the run-rule and cap off a ten hit barrage from the Bengals. Drew Forbes added another home run an inning prior with a solo shot down the right field line.
LSUE started the scoring in the first inning off an Adam Angelle run scored from a wild pitch and Zach Hawkins RBI. The Bengals added three more in the fourth with Casey Rodrigue’s 2-RBI single and Angelle driving in another.
Kirk Savoy tossed a two-hit shutout with five strikeouts on the night.

June 1, Heartland Community College – W, 11-3
LSU Eunice advanced back to the National Championship game by taking down the defending champions Heartland, 11-3 thanks to another run-rule victory. Casey Rodrigue provided the clincher with a sacrifice fly to score Landon Thibodeaux.
The Bengals scored first with a massive five-run third off just two hits, capitalizing off four walks and a hit batter. Heartland answered with a mini-rally to make it a 5-3 game before LSUE put it away.
LSUE struck for four runs in the sixth thanks to a Dalton Herrington home run as well as Landon Thibodeaux and Stuart Turner RBIs. Turner was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double a two runs driven in.
While the offense soared, Brady Wilson shutdown the Heartland bats. Wilson improved to 14-1 on the year allowing just five hits and struck out eight in a complete game effort.

June 2, Western Oklahoma State College – W, 7-3
A complete game in all facets helped deliver LSU Eunice its fourth national title in program history in a 7-3 victory over Western Oklahoma State. The Bengals rallied through the loser’s bracket after falling on the first day of the NJCAA World Series.
LSUE jumped out to a quick 5-1 lead after four innings. The Bengals made the Pioneers pay on miscues in the first inning. Adam Angelle scored off a wild pitch and Zach Hawkins drove in Sam Carriere who reached base thanks to an error to make it 2-0. Carriere and Hawkins added two more in the third.
That was more than enough help for Cody Boutte. The left-hander was lights out early, giving up a one off a solo home run while yielding just two other hits and striking out eight batters. Boutte finished the game with 11 strikeouts in eight innings and fanned every Western batter at least once.
LSUE got single run production in the fourth, fifth and seventh from Casey Rodrigue, Hawkins and Drew Forbes, respectively.
