Jackson White enters his first season on the LSU Eunice baseball staff, serving as a volunteer assistant. White brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Cajun Prairie.
White comes to LSUE after serving as the pitching coach for the Chillicothe Paints in the Prospect League. Under White, the Paints were tops in the Prospects League in complete games, while ranking third in both total strikeouts and WHIP, and 5th in earned run average. White helped mentor Ruben Ramirez, who would sign a free agent deal with the Kansas City Royals following the completion of the Paints’ playoff run.
Prior to his stay with Chillicothe, White served as an assistant coach at Indiana University-South Bend, Union College and Volunteer State Community College.
The Carmel, Indiana native played under legendary coach Woody Hunt at Cumberland University (Lebanon, Tenn.) from 2013-2018. During his playing career with the Phoenix, White was part of the 2014 NAIA National Championship team that went 49-20 during the season. The left-handed pitcher would later help Cumberland to the 2018 NAIA Regional Tournament.
He would serve as a graduate assistant coach at Cumberland for the 2018-19 campaign.
White holds a bachelor’s degree from Cumberland University in Sports and Exercise Science.
