Jordon Vierra enters his inaugural season with LSU Eunice as an assistant coach who will be responsible for developing the catchers, as well as assisting with instructing hitters.

Vierra joins the Bengals after spending the 2012 season at Tyler Junior College as an assistant coach. during that season, Vierra helped coach the Apaches to a District Championship and fourth place finish in the DIII NJCAA World Series.

As a player, Vierra began his career at Tyler Junior College in 2008 and 2009, where he was a part of a MAC Conference championship as a freshman. In his two years at TJC, Vierra etched his name into several categories of the programs record books, including batting average (twice), at bats, hits, consecutive games hitting streak, and set the program record for sacrifices in a season. In addition, Vierra earned All MAC Conference First Team Honors, runner-up in the conference Most Valuable Player Award voting, was named to the Texas-New Mexico All Star Game East Team, and earned an Associates of Arts Degree in General Studies from the institution.

Following his success at Tyler Junior College, Vierra continued his career at the University of Texas at Tyler in 2010 and 2011 where he was a part of back to back ASC Conference championships, a conference tournament championship, and two regional tournament births. Individually, he received ASC Honorable Mention honors as a designated hitter in 2010. Vierra earned his Bachelors of Science degree in History from UT Tyler.
