Last season, the Bengals participated in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament and finished with a 51-6 record.  The Bengal offense led all of NJCAA Division 2 in Doubles (146), Stolen Bases (272), and On Base Percentage (.469) and was also second in Runs Scored (635).  The 2015 Bengals had eight hitters move on to Four year school, 7 of which continued their career at NCAA Division 1 Universities.

In his second year, the Bengals captured their fifth NJCAA National Championship. The offense was led by NJCAA First Team All American Steven Sensley, who finished the season with a .374 batting average while setting a school record for home runs with 21. Sensley (ULL) was joined by 5 other Bengal hitters moving on to NCAA Division 1 schools. Eight hitters total moved on to 4 year schools.

Keowen played at LSU Eunice in 2007 after playing two years at LSU. At LSU Eunice, Keowen finished with a .400 batting average with 16 doubles, six triples and 10 home runs, driving in 62 RBIs for the Bengals while starting and playing in all 58 games and being named a NJCAA First Team All-American outfielder in 2007.

Following the season, he was drafted in the 9th round in the 2007 Major League Baseball draft by the Boston Red Sox, a mark that continues to make him the highest drafted player out of LSU Eunice in program history.
Keowen spent three seasons in the Red Sox organization and one year with the Sussex Skyhawks of the Can-Am Independent League, where he collected a career .228 batting average with 42 doubles, two triples, 13 home runs and 71 RBIs.

After his playing career, Keowen spent two years as a high school assistant coach, at Central High in 2011 and Denham Springs in 2013, and one year as a head coach at False River Academy in 2012. He has also spent summer’s working baseball camps at schools such as Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, and Nicholls St.
Drafted out of high school in the 19th Round of the 2004 Major League Draft by the Kansas City Royals, Keowen instead choose to attend LSU, where he played baseball for two years before transferring to LSU Eunice.
