Nick Studdard

Nick Studdard enters his first season with LSU Eunice Baseball, joining the Bengals in the summer of 2024.  Studdard will serve in a volunteer role, focusing on the catchers and assisting with the LSUE offense.
 
Studdard comes to LSUE after spending the 2024 campaign as an assistant at Baton Rouge Community College.  In his lone season with the Bears, Studdard helped develop three NJCAA Division I All-Region 23 selections.
 
Prior to his stay at BRCC, Studdard was with Bowling Green State University for one season.  Studdard focused on the catchers as well as assisting the Falcons’ offense helping BGSU earn three All-MAC nominations including catcher Kyle Gurney.
 
Studdard began his coaching career at his alma mater, Southern University, serving as an undergraduate assistant for two seasons.  He was responsible for the catchers and assisting with the Jaguars’ offense, in addition to daily clubhouse activities and other program needs.  Southern captured the 2021 SWAC Championship with Studdard on staff, finishing the season at the Austin NCAA Regional.  In 2022, the Jaguars would reach the SWAC Tournament Championship, finishing conference play with a 21-9 record.
 
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Studdard has spent the last four summers with the St. Cloud Rox of the Northwoods League, including the 2024 campaign as field manager.  He has been a part of two historic seasons with the Rox, winning 50 games in back-to-back seasons – a first in Northwoods League history.  The Rox have won two Great Plains Championships and have hosted two Northwoods League Championships.
 
In his summer as field manager, the Rox set team records for stolen bases and home runs in a single season, finishing the season with a 12th consecutive winning season.  During his time with St. Cloud, Studdard coached 13 Major League Baseball selections, including the 2024 third overall pick Charlie Condon of the University of Georgia.
 
Studdard played one season at Southern University before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) with a focus in supply chain management in December of 2022.
