Paige Hodges enters his seventh season as an assistant coach with the LSU Eunice baseball team. The former Bengal joined the program as an assistant for the 2016-17 season. Hodges is in charge of catchers; assists with hitters, infielders; and coaches first base.
In August of 2018, Hodges added Athletic Operations Manager to his duties, serving as the point person for all facilities and maintenance in the athletic department.
Hodges played at LSUE from 2004-2007 where he helped the Bengals capture their first national championship in 2006.

In his first full season back with the Bengals, Hodges helped tutor defensive player of the year Hunter Feduccia, who signed with LSU and later drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Hodges has mentored three Division I signees in time on the Cajun Prairie, including 2019 NJCAA Gold Glove recipient Austin Kirkpatrick.
Hodges came to LSU Eunice from Bishop Gorman High School in Tyler, TX where he served as the head baseball coach for four years. He led the Bishop Gorman Crusaders to their first playoff birth in over seven years. Along with the head baseball coach duties he also served as a strength and conditioning coach for the Crusaders off-season programs.
Prior to Bishop Gorman, Hodges served as an assistant coach at The University of Texas at Tyler from 2010-2012. He assisted with recruiting, organized camps, and worked with hitters and catchers. While with the Patriots, Hodges helped develop ten All-American Southwest Conference hitters and two All-West Region catchers. As a team, the Patriots led the league in every major category including runs batted in. The Patriots also captured three American Southwest Conference championships and three NCAA Regional appearances.
Hodges is a graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler, where he played his senior season finishing eighth all-time in doubles in a season, and he currently holds the record for the most RBI’s in one game with nine.
Prior to the UT-Tyler, Hodges played one season for Mississippi College. During the 2008 season, Hodges led the team in every major hitting category and still holds records in career slugging percentage and ranks fifth in single-season doubles.
Hodges attended Notre Dame High School in Crowley, LA where was an All-District performer in football and baseball. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from University of Texas at Tyler.
The Crowley native, his wife Kelly and sons Houston James and Grae Michael reside in Scott, LA.
