Freshman Season (2017): Played 50 games with 158 plate appearances.  Had arguably best game of the year in the NJCAA semifinals against Phoenix College going 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.  Collected 41 runs scored, 28 RBIs, 46 hits, 13 stolen bases, one home run and a .354 batting average during the season.
 
High School: Played softball for Notre Dame…Garnered 1^st Team All-State, 1^st Team All-Acadiana, All-Parish and All District MVP during senior season for the Pioneers.  Led her team to a 22-7 record and state runner-up in Class 3A.  Posted a career .443 batting average, .786 slugging percentage and .570 on-base percentage.  Helped Notre Dame to quarterfinals (sophomore) and semifinals (junior) while receiving 1^st Team All-District honors both those seasons.   
 
Why I Chose LSUE: It is close to home, has successful sports programs, and has all the prereq’s needed for my degree. It was the best decision I made to start at a JUCO.
 
Personal: Full name is Marina Brynn Doucet… Born on October 8, 1998… Daughter of Chad and Janell Doucet… Plans to graduate from LSUE with a biology degree and continue her education to become a dermatologist…
