Jennifer Fontenot is in her first season with the Lady Bengals. She graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Sciences from Centenary University. Her duties as an assistant coach will range from administrative work to recruiting, as well as coaching.
Fontenot was most recently an assistant at her alma mater Centenary College for the 2010-2011 season. After one year, at Centenary, she took time off to focus on Personal Training and Fitness education.
In 2008, Fontenot was named coach of the John Cooper School basketball team in The Woodlands, Texas, where she spent two seasons.
During her time at Centenary College, Fontenot was the Student Intramural Director for Recreation for three years.
Fontenot is a 2004 graduate of Welsh High School, where she was a 4-time Varsity letter winner, earning All-District and All-Academic accolades over her career.
Fontenot is a native of Welsh, Louisiana.
