LaTice Jones

LaTice Jones is in her first year as assistant coach with the LSU Eunice women's basketball team.  The Gary, Indiana native brings a wealth of experience as a coach and former professional player.

Jones played for two years at State Fair Community College followed by two seasons at Missouri Southern State (NCAA-Division II).

At SFCC, Jones was the second leading scorer (12.5 ppg) and earned first-team All-Region XVI accolades.

Missouri Southern enjoyed two winning seasons during Jones' stay including a 2011 MIAA Quarterfinal appearance.  The forward averaged 10.6 points per game and 8.0 rebounds in her senior campaign.

Jones began her coaching career out of college, as an assistant coach for the St. Peter's Middle School girls' basketball team in Joplin, Missouri.  She later spent five years (2014-2018) as the head junior varsity, assistant varsity and head condition coach at Lift For Life Academy in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jones spent time in professional basketball with the St. Louis Surge and Midwest Flyers of the Blue Chip Basketball League for two seasons.  Following her one season with the Midwest Flyers (2014-15), Jones served as the trainer for the team in the 2016-17 campaign.

A four-year standout at Gary Roosevelt High School, Jones averaged more than 22 points per game.  The All-Regional and All-Sectional performer, Jones was considered a Top 50 recruit in the basketball hotbed state of Indiana.
