Zach Standiford enters his first year on the LSU Eunice Athletic staff, serving as the Bengals' head athletic trainer.. Standiford, an Opelousas native, returns to the local area after serving on the sports medicine staff at Northwestern State University.
Hired in August of 2024, Standiford oversees all sports medicine for LSU Eunice five athletic teams.
Prior to his arrival on the Cajun Prairie, Standiford served four years with the Demons Sports Medicine team. He spent his first two years as a graduate assistant before a promotion to Assistant Director of Spots Medicine. While at Northwestern State, his primary focus was the Demons’ Men’s Basketball team while assisting with various secondary athletic teams.
Standiford graduated with his master’s in health and human performance with a concentration in sports administration from Northwestern State University in May of 2022, while receiving his Bachelor of Science in athletic training from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May of 2020.
A member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA) and the Louisiana Athletic Trainer’s Association (LATA), Standiford is CPR and AED certified through the American Heart Association. He is also dry needling certified through United Dry Needling.
Zach is married to his wife, Ali, and they have one son, Luca.
