Bengals Tackle Bears in Overtime Thriller

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- After a setting a career-high in points the previous night, Mia Melvin was at it again. Melvin notched 22 points on 8-20 shooting for LSU Eunice in their 75-66 win at Phoenix College Tuesday evening. Rebounding from a rough night statistically versus Scottsdale on Monday, Shakil Babino surged for 19 points and 9 rebounds as well.
A close game throughout, LSU Eunice and Phoenix College were deadlocked at 63 points each at the end of regulation. In the overtime period, the Bengals held the Phoenix College Lady Bears to 1-13 shooting in the extra period.
Phoenix was able to keep up to LSU Eunice's pace throughout the course of the game, but in overtime, succumbed to multiple turnovers, and missed free throw opportunities, and the Bengals were able to capitalize.
