EUNICE, La. – LSU Eunice Women's Basketball continued its dominance in conference play, recording a 92-36 win over Delgado CC on Saturday inside the HPRE Center. The Bengals (17-6, 4-0 LCCAC) 56-point margin of victory is the largest for LSU Eunice in the two teams' 59-game history.
The Bengals went wire-to-wire on the Dolphins, holding Delgado to just 13 first half points. LSUE jumped out to a 23-point lead in the first quarter with
Kamiera McDonald (Baton Rouge, LA, Scotlandville HS) scoring eight of her ten points in the frame. She was one of just three Bengals to notch double digit points while every rostered player scored.
LSUE was led by 13 points from
Edurne Diaz de la Serna Munoz (Ripollet, Spain, Institut Palau Ausit) with
Saidastiny Stewart (Baton Rouge, LA, Dulles HS (TX)) chipping in 11.
The Bengals tenacious defense produced 29 steals while forcing 36 turnovers in the game, led by six from Stewart. LSUE also owned the glass, outrebounding Delgado 42-37.
Erianna Ned (Opelousas, LA, J.S. Clark Leadership Academy) flirted with a double-double off the bench, going for seven points and seven rebounds leading the team in boards.
LSUE hits the road for a three-game road trip beginning Wednesday at Baton Rouge CC.
