McDonald, Beckmann Repeat As Major LCCAC Award Winners

EUNICE, La. – For a second straight year, LSU Eunice Women's Basketball headlines the 2025-2026 All-LCCAC Team with Kamiera McDonald (Baton Rouge, LA, Scotlandville HS) and head coach Rob Beckmann taking the two major end of year awards, the conference announced on Monday.  It's the first time in conference history that a player and coach duo have repeated as Player and Coach of the Year in the LCCAC.

McDonald is joined on the first team by Edurne Diaz de la Serna Munoz (Ripollet, Spain, Institut Palau Ausit)Paulina Reichenauer (Waiblingen, Germany, Salier Gymnasium) is the lone second-team member, while Saidastiny Stewart (Baton Rouge, LA, Dulles HS (TX)) was on the All-Defensive team.  After going 9-0 in conference and winning all LCCAC games by an average margin of just under 30 points, LSU Eunice finished second to Baton Rouge in members on the All-LCCAC.  The teams were voted on by the four head coaches in the conference.

It was another standout year for McDonald, who led the Bengals in LCCAC play averaging 16.3 points per game.  For the season, the sophomore was one of the most potent shooters from long-range, going 52-for-123 (42.3%) from three-point distance.  She poured in a season-high 26 points against Southern-Shreveport on Feb. 14.  Her 18 free throw attempts in that are the third most in a single game in program history.

McDonald led the Bengals in scoring for a second straight season, closing a chapter in one of the program's most prolific scorers.  She finishes ninth all-time in program history with 671 points, fifth in steals (131), and fourth in three-point field goals (101).

Diaz was one of three LSUE players to average double digit points per game.  The freshman did a little bit of everything for the Bengals, finishing top three on the team in three-point and free throw percentages, while also averaging 2.3 steals, 1.8 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game.  She averaged 12.4 points per game in LCCAC play.

Reichenauer was one of two players to start every game for LSU Eunice during the season.  The German import finished second on the team in points (11.5 per game), third in rebounds (4.9 per game) and third in steals (65).  She posted a pair of double-doubles during the season and her 29 points against Jones College on January 8 was the most by a Bengal this season.

Stewart is the lone All-Defensive team member after spearheading a Bengals defense that finished tops in the nation in steals per game (19.5) and second in opponents' turnovers per game (25.5).  The freshman led LSUE with 86 steals during the year, ranking 27th national in that category.  Stewart also led LSUE in rebounds (166) and was second in assists (73).  The freshman also led the team with three double-doubles, two coming in conference play.

For Beckmann, he wraps up a second-straight LCCAC regular season championship in as many years as head coach of LSU Eunice.  The Bengals have produced back-to-back 20-plus win seasons under Beckman – just the second time that's happened in program history.  In both seasons with Beckmann, LSU Eunice rattled off double-digit win streaks.
