Sophomore Season (2018): Voted team captain by his teammates.

Freshman Season (2017): Made 17 relief appearances logging 12.0 innings and a 2.25 earned run average.  Allowed nine hits, six runs, three earned runs with 22 strikeouts and 7 walks.  Best outing came Feb. 24 vs. Kellogg with one inning of scoreless relief striking out three batters and issuing one walk.

Redshirt Season (2016): Sat out the entire season as a redshirt freshman

High School: Played Baseball and Football at Caldwell Parish.  A three-time All-District pitcher including First-Team honors his junior and senior seasons.  A two-time All-District left tackle that helped lead Caldwell to the No. 2 seed in the 2013 LHSAA Class 3A postseason and Regional Round appearance.

Why I Chose LSUE: I chose LSUE because I think it is one of the best schools to continue my athletic career.

Personal: Full Name is Justin Lane Barton…Born March 2, 1996…Son of Bo Barton and Kim Eason…Brother, Jacob, played at LSU Eunice (2014-2016) helping the Bengals to the 2015 NJCAA Division II National Championship and later at Mississippi State (2016-2018).
